The Location Of Harry Potter — England Gloucester

Gloucester, located in southwest England, is an important river port in British history. The town retains its original appearance, with a thriving dockyard that attracts millions of visitors. 1. Gloucester Cathedral
Gloucester cathedral is a magnificent gothic cathedral, a fine example of British gothic architecture. After the murder of king Edward ii of England in 1327, gloucester cathedral was chosen as his burial place. Many worshippers visited Edward’s tomb, and gloucester became a pilgrimage center. The church was gradually transformed into the magnificent building today with donations from believers.

2. Gloucester Docks
Gloucester was once Britain’s largest inland port, and its shipyards were at the peak of their history. There are 15 Victorian warehouse buildings, surrounded by canals with museums, shops and cafes.

The 13th century black friars, one of the best preserved Dominican monasteries in Britain, is now the gloucester city museum and gallery, with exhibits including dinosaur fossils and paintings by Turner and Gainsborough.

The forest of dean, 12 kilometres south-west of gloucester, is the oldest oak forest in England. The mysterious scenery is said to have inspired tolkien’s “TheLord of the Rings.”

6. Dean Heritage Centre
The dean heritage center, located on the east side of the dean forest, tells the history of forests and mining. Nearby are a forest home, adventure playground and art gallery.

7. Puzzle Wood
The psychedelic tree mine, on the southwest side of the forest of dean, is a pre-roman mining area overgrown with vegetation and filled with enigmatic paths and exotic rocks.
